AUSTRALIA’S NEXT TOP SUBURB IS………COLLAROY!

In fact the ‘new black’ this season, dominating the runway is none other than our Northern Beaches ‘burb of Collaroy which has appeared in a national list of the most hotly contested suburbs! Property gurus realestate.com.au crunched the numbers & determined Collaroy units as being in the top 10 in the country of the most sought after, where demand outstrips supply! Houses In Frenchs Forest together with Collaroy units appear in the top five most searched suburbs in the state & while we’ve seen Frenches Forest make a guest appearance once or twice before, it’s the first time Collaroy has made the cut, both for New South Wales & the national list.
Demand for property in Sydney is still exceptionally strong even after 18 months of sustained growth.
Empty nesters are prominent in the NSW market with the major difference in Sydney being that many are downsizing to luxury new apartments. Baby boomers looking for the seachange retirement along the beach strip without Manly’s price tag are well & truly behind the driving force & demand for Collaroy units. Collaroy just seems to tick all of the boxes. With a median unit price tag of $680,000, it’s up 4.7% in 12 months & is the 5th busiest suburb on the northern beaches with 143 sales in a year.
The largest number of house sales however goes to Frenchs Forest with 204 houses changing hands just in the past 12 months it struts a swift upswing of 22.5% in just 12 months with the median house price here being $1.25 million.
